~ ABOUT ME ~
Hello, My Name Is Savannah!
I am a young musician, born and raised in Oregon. I've been involved with music since a very young age, my grandmother having taught me just the basics of piano playing when I was about four years old. To top it off, my mother has been a huge influence on me since she always sings around the house, this fact being true when I was a little kid. My father also had a hand in my love of music, since he used to DJ.
Music I Listen To
I love just about all genres of music, give or take a few. I'm a big fan of country, pop, and alternative/indie music - I do have a knack for older music and classical music, proven by my growing collection of vinyl records. Some of my favorite artists would include Johnny Cash, Taylor Swift, Halsey, Shawn Mendes, Rob Thomas, and Panic! At The Disco.
My Music
I wouldn’t say I belong to a specific genre of music - I simply write music, and it is what I make of it. My goal is to elicit a range of feelings, to teach things, to share my experiences. Music is a shoulder to cry on for many, and a reason to be happy for others. I hope that my music can be an aid in hard times, or the music you want to listen to with your hand out the window, or what you drown out the world with.
Writing
Along with songwriting, I also enjoy writing poetry and stories. Writing has always been a way for me to get out emotions, to turn negatives into some sort of positive. I do plan on sharing my poetry in my blogs.
